Summer plans as they stand so far include both Blue Skies and Burning Man.
Let's get a caravan together for Burning Man, yeah?

Quick Update
- Went to Montreal, saw Ministry and Meshuggah, moshed my fucking brains out, visited Rachel. Got introduced to comedian Billy Connelly who has become one of my new favourites. AWESOME TRIP.
- Went straight to Toronto from MTL, had superbadass night with Brent, Becky, Lance and Lia, got drunk on rum for the first time ever. Helped solve some unnecessary drama between 3 good people. AWESOME TRIP.
- Came back and immediately began the Art Of Living course called Yes+. Basically, since Tuesday I have been disallowed from consuming the following:
- drugs
- alcohol
- caffeine
- meat of any kind
The course is very beneficial, for the most part. I was (and still am in some ways) extremely skeptical of the organization overall, but it certainly has a lot of awesome shit to teach.
- Crazy awesome party out in the sticks of Stittsville last night. SUCH a good time. Saw a lot of old friends and schoolmates. Got to watch 4 girls wrestle in cherry jello.
- I've been feeling so full of vitality lately. Health is so fucking important. Now all I need is a girl and I'll be all set!

Which one do I persue? I've been finding so much beauty in girls lately. And I never know if they dont persue me because they're uninteresed or just unsure of how I'd react. I need a good fuck, thats what I need. (and at some point, Love would be kinda nice)

To the idiots on facebook:
"Grab an ass day" earlier this year was not cool.
Neither is this new version, "smack an ass day."
There is nothing to celebrate about sexual assault, and we don't need a day to encourage more of it. It's not sexy.
If you come near me, I will smack YOU.

The Fiddle And The Drum
by Joni Mitchell

And so once again
My dear Johnny my dear friend
And so once again you are fightin' us all
And when I ask you why
You raise your sticks and cry, and I fall
Oh, my friend
How did you come
To trade the fiddle for the drum

You say I have turned
Like the enemies you've earned
But I can remember
All the good things you are
And so I ask you please
Can I help you find the peace and the star
Oh, my friend
What time is this
To trade the handshake for the fist

And so once again
Oh, America my friend
And so once again
You are fighting us all
And when we ask you why
You raise your sticks and cry and we fall
Oh, my friend
How did you come
To trade the fiddle for the drum

You say we have turned
Like the enemies you've earned
But we can remember
All the good things you are
And so we ask you please
Can we help you find the peace and the star
Oh my friend
We have all come
To fear the beating of your drum

March for Valuing the Lives of Fetuses Over the Lives of Womyn.
If you don't like abortion, fine, don't have one.
But don't go around trying to prevent womyn from making that choice for themselves.
If you feel threatened by womyn taking back control over their own bodies, and being more than just baby-making-machines, then you need to respond to this by dealing with your own insecurity, not by trying even harder to oppress womyn. If you're really worried about all the poor, poor children, why don't you do something for the ones who are already here, rather than shouting and hollering about the ones who never existed?

I'm just trying to go home. I don't want to be blocked by your parade, or to see all your damn signs telling me abortion is murder or displaying graphic pictures, and I definitely don't need to see your arrogant self-righteousness.
To the people without uteruses who are out there shouting and hollering, let me know when you get pregnant, and then we can talk.
To the people with uteruses out there shouting and hollering, if you don't want an abortion, don't have one, and don't subject the rest of us to your moral judgment.

Holy MOSES there's a lot of them. I got past them and got home, and 20 min. later, the lineup of them is still parading by.

my horoscope kicked my ass today.
I got perm solution in my eye today, which is both frightening and unpleasant. Luckily there was no harm done, but I spent the rest of the day explaining why I only had makeup on one eye. My pain was made up for by the fact that the old lady gave me double the tip amount of what most old ladies give. [Most old ladies give you $1-2]

ALSO, I stopped in at DICIB? today to pick up tickets for The Garden [which you should all go to] and talked to Shae about doing some work experience in the salon there, and he not only said they could really use the help, but suggested that I maybe should work as the second stylist underneath the guy who's there already [who's apparently been doing hair for 30 years], which would mean I'd be able to have my own clients, right off the bat, working with awesome people in a place I enjoy. Excited? It was hard not to jump up and down and give him a big hug. Holyshit, If that works out, I'm going to be one happy little hair stylist.

Fight for our right to reproductive freedom!
Hey Everyone,
for those of you who oppose bill C-484, the government's underhanded attack on our reproductive rights, but couldn't make it to the protest this saturday- let me know if you can meet up with me somewhere and sign the official petition against passing this dangerous bill. We need as many signatures as possible, it's disgusting and frightening to see this even come up for questioning- especially in 2008 in Canada!
If you can sign the petition (please do!) or even if you want more information on the bill and/or why we should not let it through, just leave me a comment and I'll get back to you ASAP.
Thank you,
~Francesca

Grad was stupid.
My mask was awesome.
I didn't take any pictures.

I totally thought I somehow deleted all my pictures from Ottawa, but then I remembered that I just switched memory cards. I hate scaring myself like that.

The next few weeks are gonna suck.

Back in Calgary and I still find myself trying to co-ordinate the plans of too many people.
Family visiting.
Graduation.

PS: I still need hair models for my exam. Anyone interested?

Ottawa trip was....interesting, to say the least. I got to know some people better, became better friends with an old co-workerslashacquaintance, annnd, apparently caused some drama, as I'm seemingly so good at doing.
But you know what? Whatever. I spend so much time and energy trying not to step on anyone's toes and I just end up stepping on my own, sooo, I give up.

I didn't take a lot of pictures, but what pictures that were taken will be up soon. [info]clementinesurf and [info]drek, I'm expecting you to send me all the pictures you have as well!
